I have been creating art in one form or another my entire life.  After successful careers in both textile design and art education, I am focusing on glass arts, including mosaics and stained glass, as well as continuing a lifelong passion for painting. I love to share my art techniques with others, and my greatest happiness comes from watching new and aspiring artists create beautiful works in a the warm and fun atmosphere of my studio.

 

My artwork combines precise planning with the surprise results made possible by letting materials guide the way.  The glass is often cut to very defined shapes, but sometimes it is the “found” piece that guides the art to completion.  The play of reflection vs. dullness and texture vs. sheen in each piece of glass creates the perfect medium for exploring the natural beauty of my surroundings here in Florida. The mosaics I create are detailed and unique in style, and are often said to resemble paintings.
